Apple уменьшила максимально число городов в приложение Погода на айфоне

Забавный факт: Apple снова уменьшила до 20 максимальное число городов, которое можно добавить в приложение Погода на айфоне. В iOS 16 изначально оно было увеличено до 50.

Точно сказать чем было мотивировано данное решение сложно. Одно из предположений заключается в том, что при большом числе городов система слишком много — относительно, конечно — тратит ресурсов и АКБ на фоновое обновление информации по ним.

Другая теория более красивая. По каждому городу Apple показывает весьма много данных, многие из которых черпаются из сторонних источников. А эти запросы обычно стоят денег. Вот и получается, что внезапно расходы на эти API существенно подросли, а потому в Купертино быстро вернулись к исходным значениям.

Кстати, у нас в Погоде добавлено 11 городов. А сколько у вас?
