Если посмотреть на современный мир… современные компьютеры Apple и что компания делает с ними — это та самая эпоха перемен, которая чревата неожиданными решениями и кажущейся непоследовательностью. Однако все меняется, если взглянуть чуть шире.
Смотрите, под занавес процессоров Intel в Купертино из них выжимали максимум. В результате линейка компьютеров из стройного образца 2011-2013 годов развалилась на куски, которые по отдельности были хороши, но вместе вызывали слишком много вопросов. Компьютеры MacBook Air вообще тащили без визуальных изменений с 2010 года, MacBook Pro были с тачбарами и без, потом даже в них втащили процессоры Core i9, явно не соответствующие стандартам Apple, плюс еще эта непонятная 13-дюймовая модель.
Дальше — больше: планшеты iPad эти с разными экранами, Face ID, Touch ID и разными стилусами. А потом еще Евросоюз карты портит с требованием втиснуть во все устройства USB-C.
Если честно, то очень сочувствуем компании, но при этом снимаем шляпу за то, что делает. Как бы мы не гундели про «провал в десктопах», в Купертино явно взялись навести порядок во всем и упорядочить линейки. Что нам подсказывает об этом.
1) Посмотрите на линейку компьютеров MacBook Air. Компания перевела их на чипы М2 и оформила главное отличие от Pro-серии — вентиляторы. Это машина для легких задач с огромным временем автономной работы. Ждем в следующем году новую итерацию, когда 13-дюймовую модель подведут под современные визуальные стандарты и переход завершен.
2) Посмотрите на… стилус Apple Pencil USB-C. Да, на первый взгляд, дурацкая штука, однако в части совместимости стало понятнее. Осталось дождаться новых iPad Pro с улучшенной верстей стилуса «для художиков» и неожиданно все соберется в кучу.
3) Наконец, линейка MacBook Pro. В базе они действительно стали дороже на 300 долларов, но… это снимет вопросы «а что мне брать — 13-дюймовый Air или Pro? А в чем разница?» Да в том то и дело, что тогда разницы было не очень много. Сейчас станет и проще, и логичнее.
Это как… знаете, как в экономических симуляторах перестраивать твой город так, чтобы было правильно. Пыль столбом, убытки, но перспективы светлые.
И тут очень интересно что дальше. Потому что проблему десктопов таки надо будет еще решать. И игры сами собой на Маки не придут. И все это на фоне запуска Vision Pro. И вот теперь самое время выйти на сцену Филу Шиллеру и снова воскликнуть: «И они еще говорят, что мы изобретать новое не можем!»
Времена насколько тяжелые, настолько и интересные.
